Austria plays host to the 11th race weekend of the year, but what weather will the teams and drivers have to contend with when F1 returns to Europe?
June in Austria should be dry and sunny, and on paper that looks likely with the whole weekend possibly scorching hot – which some teams might prefer more than others.
Mercedes are one team who have tended not to go well in the heat, and yet they managed pretty well in Montreal last time out, with fairly toasty track temperatures featuring in the Canadian Grand Prix.
But it remains to be seen if that was a one off, or if the Silver Arrows have managed to get on top of their cooling issues that have plagued them in the past.
McLaren will be looking to bounce back in Spielberg, and they are a team who do tend to go well in the higher temperatures – often kinder on their tyres than their rivals.
