Charles Leclerc delivered on the promising signs shown by Ferrari during pre-season and in free practice, putting the F1-75 on pole ahead of the 2022 season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix.
Leclerc’s lap of 1m 30.558s was enough to seal his second Bahrain GP pole as he finished 0.123s ahead of Max Verstappen and a further 0.129s in front of team mate Carlos Sainz.
