WATCH: Carlos Sainz crashes out of FP2 in Miami
With crashes for Carlos Sainz in both Australia and Imola, the Spaniard needed a smooth weekend in Miami to steady the ship. But in Free Practice 2, Sainz endured another incident, as he spun into the Turn 14 wall.
With less than 20 minutes of FP2 gone, then-session leader Sainz – who also suffered a puncture and spin in Free Practice 1 – lost the rear of his Ferrari F1-75 going into the tight Turn 14, rotating the car and hitting the wall, wiping the front-left wheel off, damaging his front wing and bringing out the red flag.
