The special edition helmets the F1 drivers have created for the Las Vegas Grand Prix
A look at the bold, creative special edition helmets hitting the track in Las Vegas, from milestone designs to personal tributes.

Las Vegas has inspired some of the boldest helmet designs of the season, with drivers unveiling their one-off creations for race week. From playful tributes to full neon flair, every helmet tells its own story, so let's take a look at some of the headgear on show...
Lando’s 150th GP helmet
To mark his 150th Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lando Norris unveiled “Art in Motion,” a hand-painted 3D helmet created in collaboration with artist Werner Bronkhorst. Unveiled at his LN × WB concept pop-up in Las Vegas on Tuesday, the piece blends vivid colour, raised textures and plenty of personal nods to some of Lando’s biggest moments in F1, turning it into an eye-catching visual timeline of his journey so far.
The lid features miniature depictions of Norris after his first podium at Austria in 2020, his maiden win at Miami in 2024, and his first home win in this year’s British Grand Prix.
Glitter-fest for Lewis
When Lewis Hamilton brings a special edition helmet to a race weekend, it never disappoints, and his helmet for Las Vegas shows he has no intentions of easing up.
Inspired by the 'City of Lights', Lewis’ signature yellow helmet has been drenched in silver glitter, creating a shimmering finish that’s guaranteed to look spectacular under the neon glow of the Strip all weekend long. And it’s no wonder he’s gone all-out for Vegas: after storming from P10 to a stunning P2 here in 2024, this is a circuit he knows how to make sparkle!
Oscar’s nod to his RC days
Oscar Piastri brings his own twist to the Las Vegas helmet trend with a design inspired by his earliest racing memories, paying tribute to the remote control car that earned him a national title in 2010.
It was the first thing he ever drove – the small but significant stepping stone that led him into karting and eventually paved his path to Formula 1.
The bold helmet mirrors the colours and details of that original RC livery, making it a nostalgic and personal tribute to where his journey began. So, why debut it in Vegas? Piastri pointed out that this week marks exactly 15 years since that fated national title, making this weekend a fitting race to celebrate the very start of his motorsport success as he continues to fight for the title.
George's milestone lid
George Russell has gone all-out for his Las Vegas lid this year – and with good reason. This weekend marks his 150th race start in Formula 1, and he’s celebrating it in style, nodding to both the milestone and his spectacular victory on the Strip last year.
Fittingly for Vegas, he couldn’t resist weaving in a bit of casino flair into the details of the helmet – including a set of playing cards decorated with his signature T-pose. It's an eye-catching helmet worthy of this significant achievement, an unforgettable memory, and a race weekend he undoubtedly loves!
A helmet of two halves for Esteban
With Hollywood only a couple of hours from the Las Vegas Strip, Esteban Ocon proved he understood the assignment with his special edition helmet for the Vegas. As one of Haas’ home races – and with Marvel’s roots firmly tied to the US – Ocon leaned fully into the theme.
Famously a fan of all things superhero, with his 2023 Deadpool and 2024 Captain America designs proving popular, the Frenchman let his spidey senses guide him to a bold, split design. One half features the infamous Spider-Man print – the other transformed into the inky, sharp-edged look of Venom. No doubt the Haas driver will be wanting to put on a superhuman performance at their home Grand Prix this weekend too!
Yuki's ceramics-inspired lid
Yuki Tsunoda never fails to impress with his special-edition helmets, consistently delivering some of the most creative and thought-provoking designs on the grid. For Las Vegas, the Red Bull driver has gone for a beautifully crafted, ceramic-inspired look, merging his usual design with Kintsugi – the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold to celebrate strength, resilience, and imperfection. Golden seams run across the helmet, giving it a luminous finish that will look incredible under the glow of the Vegas lights.
And there’s even more meaning behind it, as Yuki revealed that this special edition will be auctioned off after the race weekend for charity – a stunning piece of art with a purpose too.
Chrome for Kimi
He said it himself – Kimi Antonelli is bringing the party to Vegas! The Mercedes rookie is celebrating his first race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit with a very apt chrome-infused helmet design.
Safe to say you won’t be able to miss him as he flies past the iconic Vegas landmarks this weekend – that shiny chrome will reflect the Strip lights like a disco ball, which feels exactly on-brand for the vibe Kimi is bringing!
Added Vegas shimmer for Charles
A previous podium placer in Las Vegas (we won't be forgetting that last lap overtake in 2023 in a hurry!), Charles Leclerc is certainly familiar with the magic of Sin City. This year, he’s opted for subtle tweaks to his usual red-and-white Monaco-inspired lid, with a glitter finish and a bold strip across the top reading “Las Vegas” – a fun little cue in case he needs reminding which US round he’s tackling this weekend!
