Lando Norris just held the lead from pole position at the start of the Monaco Grand Prix, as Gabriel Bortoleto's crash at Portier brought out the Virtual Safety Car.
Front-row starter Charles Leclerc pulled his Ferrari alongside Norris into Sainte Devote for the first time, but the McLaren driver held the lead on the inside after locking up both front tyres.

This meant several drivers pitted including Yuki Tsunoda, Pierre Gasly, Ollie Bearman and Bortoleto during a race with a mandated two-stops.
