George Russell regained the upper hand over championship-leading team mate Kimi Antonelli in Qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix, meaning the Mercedes driver starts the Spielberg race from pole position ahead of the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
With Q3 ending under yellow flags after a crash for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, Antonelli had to settle for fourth on the grid ahead of the four-time World Champion, followed by the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Isack Hadjar lines up eighth in the second Red Bull, while his Racing Bulls stablemates Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad complete the top 10 for what is both teams’ home race at the 4.326-km Red Bull Ring circuit.
