MUST-SEE: Drama as Sainz and Verstappen skate into the gravel at Turn 4 in separate incidents
There was dismay for the Spanish crowd on Lap 7 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as Carlos Sainz spun off the track and into the gravel at Turn 4, dropping the home hero down to P11.
While Sainz was able to get his Ferrari back on the road and keep going, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen repeated the trick two laps later, the reigning champion also going off – with engineer GianPiero Lambiase blaming a “large gust” for the Dutchman’s error.
