'I left it all out there' – Lawson and Hadjar reflect on Racing Bulls' double points in Sao Paulo
Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar showed strong pace in Sao Paulo for Racing Bulls as both reached the points.

Racing Bulls enjoyed a strong Sao Paulo Grand Prix last weekend, with both Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar finishing in the points to keep the team in the hunt for P5 in the Teams' Championship.
Lawson – who’s future in the sport is yet to be confirmed for 2026 – finished seventh, having utilised a one-stop strategy in Sunday's 71-lap race, ending up directly in front of Hadjar as the pair led a train of five other cars within three seconds over the line.
"Very happy, it’s been a great weekend. A very hard race, honestly, but we had to make something work after the first couple of stops," said Lawson, who was slapped with a five-second penalty in Saturday's Sprint for a collision with Ollie Bearman.
"It’s always tough when you’re the second car because obviously, the first car gets priority, and I lost a couple of spots on the first stop and would have lost more on the second one. So we went for the one stop, and it just worked.
"It’s an important part of the year, for sure. We’re all obviously putting maximum effort in to try and score as high as we can.
"But honestly, for me, it doesn’t really change much [about my future]. I think every time I get into the car, I try to drive as fast as I can. I left it all out there today, and it’s paid off.”
Hadjar, meanwhile, was left frustrated, having dropped down from a P5 starting position, but the double-points finish for Racing Bulls means they reduced the gap to Williams in the Teams' Championship down to just 29 points.
The team also now sit 10 points ahead of Aston Martin in the standings with three Grands Prix and one Sprint remaining this season.
"Starting fifth and finishing eighth, definitely is a bad result," said Hadjar. "Still a good amount of points for the team, but I was sleeping on the first stint really. Then, after that, the rest was good but a costly mistake.
“Lots of learning. Honestly, I’m happy we’re back in the mix. Still, the Haas looks very fast since the last couple of races, but we will give it our maximum.”
