‘I can’t do anything from there’ – Hamilton braced for tough Sao Paulo GP as he reveals cause of P13 Qualifying result
It was a difficult Qualifying session for Lewis Hamilton in Brazil, as he dropped out during the Q2 phase.

Lewis Hamilton cut a frustrated figure after Qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, with the Ferrari driver falling at the Q2 hurdle.
Hamilton entered the main Qualifying session of the weekend following an encouraging Sprint display, which involved him climbing from 11th on the grid to seventh to bag a couple of points.
However, he followed up his SQ2 elimination with a Q2 exit in Saturday’s grid-decider, leaving him at a loss for words when he spoke to the world’s media.
“I didn’t have any rear end,” he lamented. “The tyres weren’t working today.”
Pushed on whether any changes were made to his SF-25 after the Sprint, Hamilton added: “The car set-up felt good, it was just how we prepared the tyres.”
While team mate Charles Leclerc went on to qualify third and has his eyes on a podium finish in Sunday’s race, Hamilton is braced for a tough afternoon.
“I can’t do anything from there,” he sighed.
Nonetheless, Ferrari will be looking for as many points as possible at Interlagos as they try to keep the pressure on Mercedes for P2 in the Teams’ Championship.
Mercedes hold 368 points to Ferrari’s 362, while Red Bull are a little further back on 351 – though they face a difficult day after Q1 exits for both Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda.
