Max Verstappen set the pace in an eventful third and final free practice hour at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, a session that featured a heavy crash as well as a last-minute call-up for a rookie driver.
Verstappen topped the timesheets with a lap of 1m 28.412s, putting him 0.196s clear of Charles Leclerc in second while Sergio Perez ended the hour in third, with George Russell and Lando Norris rounding out the top five.

The session was red-flagged when Zhou Guanyu crashed into the barriers, an incident that the Chinese driver fortunately walked away from unaided. A frantic end to the hour followed on track after the action resumed, with drivers keen to get a final lap in.
Meanwhile Oliver Bearman got his first taste of the Ferrari SF-24 after being called up at the last minute to replace Carlos Sainz for the remainder of the weekend, with the Spaniard ruled out following a diagnosis of appendicitis.
