Lewis Hamilton topped the timings in an ultra-close FP2 session in Barcelona, with five different teams represented in the top five.
The Mercedes man posted a 1m 13.264s lap in the second practice of the day, 0.022s ahead of second-placed Carlos Sainz. The McLaren of Lando Norris took third after heading the timesheets in FP1 earlier in the day.

The Alpine of Pierre Gasly was a surprise fourth, with his team mate Esteban Ocon also holding a relatively strong P9, suggesting Alpine could be a team to watch throughout the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.
Max Verstappen, looking to follow up his win in Canada last time out with another success here, occupied fifth place in the FP2 standings.
