HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from qualifying in Baku as dominant Leclerc takes pole
Charles Leclerc qualified on pole for the fourth race in a row, with the Ferrari driver producing sensational final lap in qualifying in Baku as he looks to get back to winning ways in tomorrow's Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
As temperatures cooled in Baku, Leclerc set a time of 1m 41.359s and will be joined on the front row by Sergio Perez in the Red Bull, who finished 0.282s behind. Max Verstappen completed the top three and set a time that was 0.347s further back of Leclerc. Carlos Sainz finished in fourth in the other Ferrari. He had been on provisional pole, but failed to improve on his final lap.
George Russell will start in P5, in front team mate Lewis Hamilton in seventh, as Pierre Gasly managed to split the Mercedes duo to qualify in sixth. Yuki Tsunoda, in the other AlphaTauri qualified in eighth, ahead of Sebastian Vettel in P9 and Fernando Alonso in P10.
It was a qualifying session that saw one red flag, caused by Lance Stroll, who crashed into the barrier twice in Q1, with the second crash putting an early end to his afternoon.
