With McLaren team mate Lando Norris having headed Free Practice 1 at the Spanish Grand Prix, it was Oscar Piastri’s turn in FP2, the Australian finishing a comfortable 0.286s ahead of his nearest rival.
That nearest rival was Mercedes’ George Russell, who himself headed the Red Bull of Max Verstappen – Norris in P4, despite having set the exact same time as the Dutch driver, albeit later in the session.
