Max Verstappen took victory in an action-packed Sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix, which featured an early Safety Car and multiple overtakes across the field.
There was an eventful start to the 100-kilometre dash as a four-way fight unfolded behind the leaders into Turn 1, with Lewis Hamilton making contact with Fernando Alonso after trying to overtake the Spaniard down the inside.

Alonso would also collided with fellow Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll, who then hit Lando Norris. The McLaren was unable to continue and retired from the running, prompting the Safety Car to emerge to clear up the debris.
At the front, though, Verstappen held onto P1, ahead of Charles Leclerc in second and Sergio Perez in third, while plenty of battles took place in a tightly-packed field behind.
Amongst these was a close fight between Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz for P4, with the RB driver ultimately holding off the Ferrari to seal the position at the chequered flag. There was also an immense battle between Kevin Magnussen, Lewis Hamilton and Yuki Tsunoda as they fought it out for the final points-paying position.
