GOOD LAP vs GREAT LAP: Valtteri Bottas shows us how to ace a lap of Paul Ricard
After dropping off the calendar last year because of the pandemic, the French Grand Prix is back this weekend as the F1 circus returns to Le Castellet for round seven of the 2021 season.
But how do you nail a lap of Circuit Paul Ricard? Jump on board with Valtteri Bottas in the video above to see two laps of his compared side-by-side. One is his best lap from qualifying in 2019, when he took second on the grid behind his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton. The other is his effort at improving on that time, which didn't come off in the end.
Racer and commentator Alex Brundle analyses both laps to see how and where Bottas extracts more from the car and track on his great lap, with in-depth F1 telemetry to help tell the story.
