ART Grand Prix’s Nikola Tsolov earned his second race victory of the 2024 Formula 3 season in a hotly contested Sprint Race at the Red Bull Ring.
The Alpine Academy driver fought with team mate Christian Mansell and Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Martinius Stenshorne throughout, eventually prevailing in a last-lap showdown.

The Bulgarian moved into second on the opening lap, following Mansell through as the ART pair cleared pole-sitter Stenshorne.
A back-and-forth battle between the team mates ensued in the middle-phase of the race, swapping positions lap after lap, though it was the Bulgarian that eventually emerged ahead. It was just in time as the second of two Safety Cars was deployed in the closing stages.
A clash between Campos Racing’s Sebastián Montoya and MP Motorsport driver Alex Dunne left the former in the barriers at Turn 4 and on the sidelines. The Colombian was out of his car and OK, but the Safety Car set up a one lap sprint to the finish which Tsolov handled with aplomb.
McLaren Development Driver Stenshorne wound up second with Mansell finishing third. Dunne was P4 as Laurens van Hoepen ensured all three ART cars finished in the top five in fifth place.
