F3: Beganovic takes maiden victory in Melbourne Feature Race

PREMA Racing driver Dino Beganovic put in a mature performance to score his maiden victory in Formula 3 at Sunday’s Melbourne Feature Race.
The Ferrari Driver Academy member showed tremendous pace after starting third and bided his time before picking off teammate Gabriele Minì and Trident’s pole-sitter Leonardo Fornaroli to take the victory.
Fornaroli was made to settle for second while Alpine Academy prospect Minì was able to battle past Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Williams junior Luke Browning late on in the event to take the final spot on the podium.
Browning continues to lead the Dirvers’ Championship after Round two thanks to his P4 results, while Jenzer Motorsport’s Charlie Wurz was the lone rookie on the grid to score points, managing the tyres well amid heavy degradation to finish in P5.
He led home the Campos Racing duo of Sebastián Montoya and Mari Boya, while their teammate Oliver Goethe crossed the line in ninth, with Nikita Bedrin sandwiched between them in eighth for PHM AIX Racing.
