F2: Beganovic takes second consecutive win in Baku Sprint Race

Dino Beganovic claimed his second win of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season, winning the Baku Sprint for DAMS Lucas Oil.

The Swede started from third on the grid, but was up to second at the first corner, rounding Laurens van Hoepen on the opening lap.

From there, he kept the pressure on Championship leader Nikola Tsolov and eventually cleared the Bulgarian with DRS.

Once he had the lead of the Sprint, he gapped the rest of the pack to escape DRS threat and managed a final-lap Safety Car restart to earn his second victory in a row having won the Madrid Feature Race.

Van Hoepen finished second, capitalising on a mistake from Tsolov at Turn 16 that marked the beginning of a slip down the order for the Campos Racing driver, who ended up finishing P5.

Alexander Dunne put on a spirited fight from P10 on the grid, finishing third and taking important points for his title hopes. The Irishman has a 35-point gap to make up but starts the Friday Feature Race from pole position, and Saturday's from second on the grid.

Elsewhere, second in the Standings Rafael Camara endured a tough morning, making contact with PREMA Racing's Mari Boya on the opening lap. He received a 10-second time penalty for the collision and wound up outside the points.

Gabriele Mini likewise wasn't able to add points to his tally, and he remains third in the Drivers' Standings heading into Feature Race 1 in Baku.
