F1 NATION: Norris gets McLaren back to winning ways as Antonelli extends lead – it's our Hungarian GP review

Lando Norris took McLaren back to the top step of the rostrum on Sunday in Hungary, as he took a his first Grand Prix win of the year.

The World Champion had to work hard for the victory, initially duelling with his team mate before powering away from the rest to record a famous win. Max Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli joined him on the podium, both of those two having plenty of adventures on their way to the flag.

Tom Clarkson was joined in the paddock by F1TV expert and IndyCar race winner, James Hinchcliffe to discuss all the events from an intriguing race.

Antonelli's P3 meant he extended his lead over Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in the standings, no mean feat considering Ferrari had looked strong in Budapest and Mercedes anything but.

The Silver Arrows had a difficult weekend from word go, with Antonelli picking up a grid drop on Saturday while Russell suffered a water leak in Qualifying, before an anti-stall issue sent him tumbling down the order at the start of the race.

Russell was not the only driver leaving the Hungaroring disappointed, with Oscar Piastri also enduring a tough afternoon.

He led for much of the race, but a collision with a back marker lost him any chance of victory, before he had to park up with a gearbox issue.

There was joy for Verstappen though, who bagged another podium despite complaining about his car throughout the weekend. He also pulled off the overtake of the race on old foe Hamilton, which was one for the highlights reel.

And away from the top runners, there was definite progress made at Aston Martin, who had both cars closer to the top 10 than usual thanks to their big upgrade package.
