Codemasters reveal video game hot lap of new Sochi circuit
Codemasters have released a new video from the official 2014 Formula One video game, providing fans with a first glimpse of a flying lap around Russia's new Sochi Autodrom circuit.
The video shows Daniil Kvyat's Toro Rosso STR9 lapping the recently-completed 5.853-kilometre track, which is set to host the 2014 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix on 12 October.
Sochi is one of two new venues included in the F1 2014 game, alongside Spielberg. Other changes in the game include Bahrain being run as a night race for the first time, and incorporating the rule changes made at the start of the season - meaning new turbocharged cars with refined handling characteristics.
The game, set to be released on October 17, also boasts an enhanced career mode and an intuitive driver evaluation system that tunes the game difficulty to each player's individual ability.
Codemasters announced in July that next year's official game, F1 2015, will be available on new-generation platforms and will feature live, in-season updates for the first time. It will also be released earlier in the season.
