Max Verstappen set the fastest time at Saturday's third practice session for the Italian Grand Prix ahead of rival Charles Leclerc – as the drivers get set for qualifying later today.
On the soft tyre, Verstappen set a time of 1m 21.552s to lead Leclerc by 0.347s, with the other Red Bull of Sergio Perez rounding out the top three, 0.596s behind his team mate.
Carlos Sainz was fourth quickest in the session, ahead of compatriot Fernando Alonso in fifth and his former team mate Lando Norris in sixth. George Russell was seventh fastest, with Lewis Hamilton further down the order in 10th.
FP3: Verstappen leads Leclerc and Perez in final Monza practice session
Nyck de Vries – making his Grand Prix debut at Monza in place of Alex Albon – was up in P14, behind the other Williams of Nicholas Latifi, with the pair split by under a tenth of a second in final practice.
