HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from the third practice session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Sergio Perez was the fastest man on track in the delayed third practice session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as the Mexican driver topped the timesheets ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying session in Baku.
Perez set a time of 1m 43.170s on the soft tyre to lead the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, in second place, by 0.070s. Max Verstappen finished in third, 0.279s behind his team mate – although he was going faster than Perez on his final run before he was held up by traffic. Carlos Sainz in the other Ferrari finished in fourth, a further 0.426s behind Perez.

It was a stronger session for McLaren, with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo in fifth and sixth respectively, ahead of the AlphaTauri of Pierre Gasly in P7. The Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished in P8 and P12, respectively.
