Max Verstappen put in a phenomenal drive after starting in P14 to win the Belgian Grand Prix – leading home Red Bull’s fourth one-two finish of the season.
Verstappen started on the soft tyre as he looked to make early gains through the field. And the championship leader did just that, taking the lead of the Grand Prix on just Lap 12, before pulling away from the field to seal his ninth victory of the season.
Sergio Perez overtook Carlos Sainz to take second place, with the Spaniard holding off George Russell in the Mercedes to take the third place. It was a tough afternoon for Charles Leclerc, who crossed the line in P5, but was demoted to sixth after speeding in the pit lane.
