HIGHLIGHTS: All the action from qualifying as Bottas grabs pole in Portimao
The stage was set for Lewis Hamilton for take the 100th pole position of his career this weekend in Portugal, but in the end his Mercedes team mate Valtteri Bottas grabbed top spot on the grid for Sunday's race.
Hamilton had been quickest in second practice, but was pipped to pole by Bottas by just 0.007s in a super-tight qualifying session on Saturday afternoon at Portimao.

Max Verstappen had been looking quick throughout practice for Red Bull, but ultimately a snap of oversteer cost him his chance at pole when his correction took his Red Bull RB16B over the official track limits and his lap time was chalked off.
